Who We Are

Development and security for all

Reaching out to the most vulnerable and needy members of society — Reaching out, lifting up, inclusiveness and self reliance

Our Story

Reaching out and lifting up since 2010.

The Dr. Jane Ansah Foundation is a humanitarian and development organization dedicated to improving the social and economic welfare, as well as the security, of vulnerable and disadvantaged populations across Malawi. What began as philanthropic activities in 2010 has grown into a registered trust — a non-profit committed to sustainable social and economic impact for those who need it most.

Our passion is founded on four pillars: reaching out, lifting up, inclusion, and self-reliance. Through targeted programmes in food security and nutrition, sanitation, education, and humanitarian response, we work to promote long-term self-sufficiency and lasting change — not just immediate relief.

The Foundation focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of poverty and discrimination while restoring respect and dignity, strengthening resilience, and helping beneficiaries build independent, fulfilled lives. We believe this work is best done in collaboration — partnering with other humanitarian and development agencies, and with relevant government institutions at both central and decentralized levels.

Founder

At the Dr. Jane Ansah Foundation, we believe that every human life carries inherent dignity and deserves opportunity for development and growth, protection, and hope for a fulfilled life. Our mission is driven by a profound commitment to reaching the most vulnerable and needy members of society—children, persons with albinism and disabilities, the elderly, and families facing severe socio-economic hardship. We are committed to making a meaningful difference through compassion, ethical leadership, and strategic partnerships.

The Foundation's ultimate goal is to transform vulnerability into resilience and in alignment with aspirations of the overarching Malawi Vision 2063 where no one is left behind. The need is urgent and time of action is now. Therefore, join Dr. Jane Ansah Foundation in putting smiles on faces and restoring hope to the vulnerable and in so doing making an everlasting difference.

Our Vision

A Malawi where the vulnerable, disadvantaged and marginalized households, youth and the elderly have the support, skills and resources to live with dignity, are resilient, self reliant and have the right to development.

Empowered and resilient households and communities working in an inclusive manner, using asset mobilization, mindset change and skills development to achieve self-reliance and drive their own long-term development.

Our Mission

To enhance development and empowerment of socioeconomically disadvantaged and marginalized people including orphaned children, under-five children from very poor families, the aged, those living with disability (physical, mental and sensory) and albinism.
